Air Quality in the New Era of European Hospitality

Air quality in hotels has become a crucial element in ensuring guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. With the increase in new hotel constructions across Europe, creating healthy and safe indoor environments has become a priority. According to the Hotel Construction Pipeline Trends Report for Q2 2024 by Lodging Econometrics (LE), over 1,100 new hotels are expected to open by 2026.

Growth in Hotel Construction and the Need for Advanced Solutions

The report indicates that there are currently 755 hotel projects under construction in Europe, totaling 117,908 rooms. In addition, 412 projects are planned to start construction in the next 12 months, and 513 projects are in the early stages of planning.

This substantial volume of new hotel developments, especially in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Turkey, and Portugal, highlights the importance of adopting technologies that improve hotel operations, ensuring comfortable and healthy environments for guests.

Europe experienced a significant increase in new hotel openings during the second quarter, with 81 hotels and 10,569 rooms being launched, marking a 72% rise compared to the first quarter. In total, 128 new hotels with 16,829 rooms opened across Europe in the first and second quarters. Analysts at Lodging Econometrics (LE) predict that another 202 new hotels, offering 27,106 rooms, will open in the third and fourth quarters, bringing the total forecast for new openings in 2024 to 330 hotels with 43,935 rooms.
